Assembly of equipment completed at EuroChem's new fertilizer plant in Nevinnomyssk

In mid-March, Nevinnomysskiy Azot will start preparations for commissioning works. The new production with a capacity of at least 70,000 tonnes per year will be launched in the third quarter of 2024, Oleg Shiryaev, President of EuroChem Group, informed.

According to him, the volume of investments in the project will amount to 7.4 billion rubles (US$81 million). The bulk of production will be for water-soluble fertilizers – potassium nitrate (NOP). ″The launch of the project in Nevinnomyssk develops the line of our water-soluble fertilizers, especially necessary for the application of advanced agricultural technologies. Demand for these products is consistently high both in our country and in Asia, Central and South America. I am confident that the new products from Nevinnomyssk will be in demand by agrarians in Russia and globally,″ Shiryaev was quoted as stating by EuroChem’s press service. In particular, he noted, the project will allow EuroChem to significantly increase its market share in Brazil, where the company plans to supply up to 60% of the new plant’s products. According to Alexey Rezvanov, editor-in-chief of the Fertilizer Daily portal, EuroChem’s export-oriented project is being launched ″in a very timely manner, in view of the needs of growing markets.

The project will maximize the use of the company’s own distribution networks in Brazil and other countries, giving it a clear advantage over its competitors, especially amid significant production and supply of potassium nitrate on the Russian market,″ he told RIA Novosti.

″Potassium nitrate (NOP) or potassium nitrate is one of the most demanded types of mineral fertilizers, which is a highly effective source of nitrogen and potassium in the form available to plants. Due to its properties, it is used primarily in greenhouse farms, which are now actively developing,″ the expert added.
