Agrochemicals and fertilisers company Dhanuka Agritech has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, `Dhanuka Agri-Solutions', for selling its products in Bangladesh.
"We have set up a 100 percent subsidiary in Bangladesh to market our products there. It will help us in registering our plant protection and pesticides products, which is mandatory in Bangladesh," Dhanuka Agritech Chairman, Ram Gopal Agarwal, told PTI here. The exports to Bangladesh are negligible with the company selling only one pesticide, Quinlan. "At present we are only selling Quinlan. But we have filed 10 products for registration under Dhanuka and hope to start selling a few of them from the next quarter," he said. "We are expecting Rs 10 crore business in next three years," he added. The company is also looking at similar venture for Latin American countries. "We are looking at the Latin American countries, like Brazil....However, there are no immediate plans in this regard." Dhanuka Agritech, which recently launched a pesticide for tea plants, is set to launch another pesticide for protecting paddy from plant hoppers, in collaboration with
Mitsui Chemicals of Japan.
