Two new pesticide common names fenopyramid and tiapyrachlor provisionally approved by ISO

Two new pesticide common names have recently been provisionally approved by ISO.

Fenopyramid

New common name provisionally approved for a pyrazolecarboxamide fungicide from Shandong United Pesticide Industry Co. The Chinese common name is 苯醚唑酰胺 and the development code is LH-371.

N-[2-[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]phenyl]-3-(difluoromethyl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide [2344721-61-3]

Please contact the Maintenance Agency no later then 21st August 2024 for any objections (for example, the name ″fenopyramid″ infringes on any trademarks). If no objections are received, then the name ″fenopyramid″ will become approved and will be included in the March 2025 update of the XML data set that is available to everyone who purchases ISO 1750:2023.

Tiapyrachlor

New common name provisionally approved for an insecticide from Corteva Agriscience that is related to tyclopyrazoflor. Development codes X12019747, XR-120 and XDE-120.

N-[4-chloro-2-(3-pyridinyl)-5-thiazolyl]-N-ethyl-3-(methylsulfonyl)propanamide [1255091-74-7]
