FMC presents new product at Show Rural 2024

FMC officially presented two new products during Show Rural 2024 in the presence of AgroPages.

Fungicide Onsuva

The first highlight was the fungicide Onsuva, which featured a novel and exclusive molecule in its formulation: fluindapyr, a carboxamide unprecedented in Brazil. Additionally, the product includes difenoconazole, a triazole, in high concentration and efficacy. According to the manufacturer, Onsuva is recommended for controlling the main diseases in soybeans and cotton. It offers a broad spectrum and is recognized for its efficiency in foliar diseases and high selectivity for crops from early applications.

Insecticide Premio Star

Furthermore, the company officially introduced the insecticide Premio Star (Chlorantraniliprole; Bifenthrin), the only product in the Brazilian market that provides simultaneous control for caterpillars and stink bugs. According to FMC, the launch ensures protection against 50 pests in more than 50 crops, including Spodoptera, Helicoverpa, and Chrysodeixis, including caterpillars.

"FMC invests in new chemical technologies and innovative biological solutions to promote sustainable and innovative agriculture while supporting farmers in protecting their crops and achieving maximum productive potential," emphasized Fábio Lemos, FMC's Crops and Portfolio Manager.

Biologicals

Among the biological technology products at Show Rural 2024, FMC presented the bionematicide Presence Full. The product is indicated for seed treatment and is now recommended for in-furrow planting in crops such as soybeans, corn, beans, and cotton. Presence Full is recommended for controling root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita, Meloidogyne javanica), lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus brachyurus, Pratylenchus zeae), and cyst nematodes (Heterodera glycines) in soybeans.

Another highlight in the portfolio is the biofungicide Provilar, which has a triple mode of action - antibiosis, competition, and systemic induction of resistance. Additionally, it features a formulation technology where Bacillus is in the endospore form, allowing its use in combination with other chemical products. The product is recommended for preventing white mold (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum) in the early stages of soybean cultivation, enabling foliar management of the disease in a preventive and prolonged manner.
