Syngenta appoints new President for Crop Protection business in Brazilqrcode

Syngenta announced the appointment of André Savino, who currently holds the position of General Director of the SYNAP Commercial Platform, to the newly created position of President of Crop Protection in Brazil. Juan Pablo Llobet who has managed operations in the country since January 2021 while leading the company’s business in Latin America during that period, will now focus on his regional role. Llobet and Savino will work together to better serve Brazilian farmers.


Savino began his career at Syngenta in 1998 as a technical assistant and soon became a technical sales representative. He served in several positions in the crop protection operations of the company, expanding his perspective on the business. Most recently, he was head of marketing in Brazil, and since March 2022, he has served as General Director of the SYNAP Commercial Platform. He has a degree in agronomy from Universidade Estadual Paulista, an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral and specializations from Purdue and INSEAD universities. Savino is also a coffee grower.

″Over the past three years, we have expanded our business in Brazil, with the introduction of growth platforms; commercially with SYNAP, financially with Syde and in other areas, such as production and supply and digital,″ Llobet said. 


″We aim to further strengthen the coordination between our commercial organization, platforms, support functions and key stakeholders, so it will be a great pleasure to have someone like André leading this dynamic market,″ he added.


″We are constantly looking for ways to better understand our customers’ needs, so we can address them by developing and offering the most innovative products and solutions, enabling farmers to achieve the highest levels of productivity with profitability and sustainability. This applies for both Syngenta and SYNAP,″ Savino said. 


″It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to work on the commercial platform since it was established. I am now very honored to be appointed to serve the crop protection business in Brazil,″ he added.
