Syngenta Crop Protection has launched MIRAVIS® Pro, a product developed from the ADEPIDYN® technology molecule, which is the basis of a new generation of fungicides that offer greater control power, in addition to a broad spectrum of action. During field tests, the novelty showed great effectiveness on the initial applications against target spot, an increasingly common disease in soybean crops caused by the fungus, Corynespora cassiicola.
Combining the excellent preventive effect of ADEPIDYN® with the curative effect of Protioconazole enhances target spot control in high pressure environments. In addition, MIRAVIS® Pro also stands out in the complex of DFC's (end of cycle diseases), especially septoria and cercospora, considered as major problems for crops in the Brazilian Cerrado.
″Brazil is one of the largest soybean producers in the world, and to maintain this position while increasing productivity, the efficient management of diseases in soybean crops is essential. In this context, Syngenta launched MIRAVIS® Pro, an innovative product that offers high control power, a long residual effect and a broad spectrum of action, which can increase productivity by more than 4.4 bags per hectare,″ said Pedro Altomar (Manager of Product Marketing at Syngenta Crop Protection).
The use of MIRAVIS® Pro is recommended for the first applications, providing excellent control of major diseases that affect soybean crops in this period. In addition, the new technology brings convenience to farmers, since its formulation features the Empowered Control Technology, which increases the effectiveness of the product and removes the need to use adjuvants or additional solutions.
The damage caused by target spot on soybean crops in the Cerrado has been increasingly recurrent, so MIRAVIS® Pro will provide a new level of control, especially in high pressure scenarios. This is possible because it is an innovative molecule, belonging to the chemical group, N-methoxy-pyrazole-carboxamides, which has a differentiated molecular structure.
″This is yet another product from the new generation of Syngenta fungicides that arrived to raise the level of disease control in soybean crops, protecting productive potential and making life easier for farmers. Over 10 years of research, more than 9,000 compounds were studied that resulted in this unique and innovative molecule, ADEPIDYN®, present in MIRAVIS® Pro, a tool designed for the Brazilian Cerrado,″ Altomar said.
With the soy market in constant expansion in Brazil and the Cerrado utilizing most of its planted area, products that offer effective disease control and meet the needs of soy farmers in this region are essential.
