The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has confirmed that it will not conduct any agrochemical usage surveys this year. The NASS’ 2007 survey of pesticide use on cotton and apples will be the last such study until 2010. Under a co-operative agreement with the USDA’s Economic Research Service, the NASS will assess pesticide use on wheat in 2009 for publication in May 2010.
