Sumitomo Chemical and its Spanish subsidiary, Kenogard (Barcelona), have clarified the basis of their legal action against distributor companies of a Sumitomoversion of the insecticide, pyriproxyfen, in Spain. Kenogard is carrying out the actions based on the “fact that some of [the contested generic products] contain substances in quantities above the authorised limit, or impurities that are not present in the original product”. The basis of the actions is neither because any product has an “inferior quality of the active ingredient” nor because “it does not contain the ai”, as previously reported.
