Bayer CropScience has received extended US approval for its fungicide, Proline (prothioconazole), for use on soybeans. It is for the control of Asian soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) and powdery mildew (Microsphaera diffusa). Proline was registered in the US on a range of crops last year. Proline can be used alone or in combination with Bayer’s Stratego (trifloxystrobin + propiconazole) for a broader spectrum of disease control. Stratego was approved for use on soybeans in the US last year.
