The plant protection portfolio of Slovenia has expanded with ten recent approvals. Out of these, six are fungicides, three are insecticides and only one is a herbicide.
In the fungicide segment, Isagro received approval for benalaxyl-M, ISK Biosciencescyazofamid and Syngenta's mandipropamid, all for the control of grapevine downy mildew (Plasomopara viticola); Bayer CropScience gained registration of fluopicolide for the control of potato blight (Phytophthora infestans); and BASF for metrafenone and pyraclostrobin, for the control of powdery mildew on grapevines (Uncinula necator) and fungi on apples and pears, respectively.
The insecticide registrations were for:ISK Biosciences’flonicamid for the control of aphids; DuPont's indoxabarb for the control of various pests in orchards, vineyards and vegetables; and Sankyo Agro's milbemectin, for the control of leafminers (Liriomyza spp) and spider mites (Tetranychus urticae and Panonychusulmi).
