In partnership with Leading Edge Aerial Technologies Inc., Eurofins Agroscience Services have successfully used a small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) to apply a test item at a rice field site for a honey bee semi-field tunnel study during August 2020.
The company believes that this makes them a world – leader; the first CRO in the agrochemical sector to conduct field studies using sUAS for both pollinator research as well as vector control product development.
The videos in the following links show two drone applications for different studies; one pollinator research study and one mosquito control study. The pollinator study footage was taken by their US team at Eurofins Jeffersonville field station in Georgia. The mosquito control footage was taken by the US team in Modesto, California.
Leading Edge Aerial Technologies, Inc. (LEAT) focuses on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), commonly known as drones.
