Three member states are taking the European Commission to court over its decision to authorise the cultivation of the newly approved GM potato, Amflora, it emerged this week.
Hungary, Austria and Luxembourg - who have already the notified the Commission their decision to ban growing the transgenic crop - clAIm that the Commission acted illegally by authorising the product, manufactured by chemical giant BASF.
