Syngenta launched two cereal herbicides in Italy following registrations in the country last year. They were: Axial (pinoxaden 100 g/litre + cloquintocet-mexyl safener 25 g/litre) for post-emergence use on barley and wheat; and Traxos (pinoxaden 25 g/litre + clodinafop-propargyl 100 g/litre + cloquintocet-mexyl 100 g/litre) for use on oats and durum wheat. Axial has a recommended application rate of 0.45 litre/ha and Traxos of 0.25 litre/ha. Axial was introduced in the US the UK and Germany in 2006 and has since been approved in Croatia.
