Agropages reports that two new strobilurin fungicides, developed and intellectual property owned by the SRICI (Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, affiliated with the Sinochem), were granted provisional approved.
The coumoxystrobin (SYP-3375) has broad spectrum activity against various disease and fungi, especially against apple tree valsa canker, sclerotinia sclerotiorum. In comparative testing against the contrasts and other products, the coumoxystrobin provide better performance and better crop safety. The pyraoxystrobin, which provides better crop safety, is broad-spectrum and effective against downy mildew, powdery mildew, gray mold, anthracnose, leaf spot and tomato early blight, late blight, etc. Synergistic combinations of pyraoxystrobin and flumorph, chlorothalonil or other fungicides have been tested.
Both fungicides are now patented by China and PCT [WO2005044813 A1, its members including China,Euro , USA , Brazil, Japan, Thailand, and Argentina]. The 20% suspension and the 96% coumoxystrobin, the 20% suspension and the 95% pyraoxystrobin, manufactured by the Shenyang Sciencreat Chemicals Co., Ltd., were provisionally approved by the authorities.
