DuPont Ag Innovations Benefit Cambodian Farmers

DuPont has recently received approval for 10 new Crop Protection products and three hybrid corn seeds to boost farmers’ yields in Cambodia. The recently launched products include DuPont™ Prevathon® and Steward® insecticides to control insects that damage crops and Pioneer® corn seed hybrids 30B80, 30Y87 and 30K95 to increase farmer output and income. 

"We are pleased to establish this new long-term partnership with the farming communities of Cambodia,” said Carl Lukach, president - DuPont East Asia.  “These products will increase farmer output and income.”

DuPont Crop Protection products registered in Cambodia protect food crops against the damage from insects, weeds and diseases, helping farmers growing rice, cassava, potato, tomato, mungbean, soybean, leafy vegetable, mango, melon, pineapple, sugarcane, watermelon and other crops.

The new products were formally launched in a ceremony titled “Growth and Productivity for Farmers and Society” officiated by the Secretary of State of Cambodia’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).  Farmers, distributors, and store owners from provinces in Cambodia attended.  The guest of honor was Carol Rodley, U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia.
