China Yangzhou’s first self-managed exportation of biopesticide

Two tons of BTi, produced by Yangzhou Luyuan Bio-chemical Co. Ltd and developed by Jiangsu Lixiahe Biopesticide lab was exported to Israel recently. It is reported to be Yangzhou’s first self-managed exportation of biopesticide.

On June 2009, the Israel company IRTAMD LTD found out that Luyuan produced the biopesticide BTi from Internet, they sent an e-mail and showed their interest in this product. Soon after, by sending e-mails, the two parties had a negotiation of more than 2 months, negotiating about the price, specification and pattern, etc. On middle August, IRTAMD LTD said they would buy 2 tons of BTi for trial, and prepaid for the products. Now, the BTi is on its way to Israel from Shanghai.

As an environmental protection pesticide, BTi is engineered for killing aedes( one of the mosquitos) only. Neither it has any toxic hazard to human, live stocks, birds, fishes, etc, nor will it pollute the environment.
