The Italian agrochemical company, Isagro (Milan), has received its first registration for the fungicide, valiphenal. The anti-downy mildew fungicide has been registered in Cuba as Yaba M. Isagro hopes to receive registrations for valiphenal in Europe and the US next year. It is due to be sold as Compass for use on grapevines, potatoes and vegetables. Isagro received US approval for the copper-based fungicide, Badge, in the US this year for use on a range of fruit and vegetable crops. It was introduced in Italy, as Airone, after being approved there in 2006.
