United Phosphorus Q2 net profit dips 16.15 pc

Agrochemical firm United Phosphorus Ltd said its consolidated net profit declined by 16.15 per cent to Rs 102.33 crore for the second
quarter ended September 30 against the same period last fiscal.
Total income rose marginally to Rs 1,156.97 crore in the latest quarter ended September 30 against Rs 1,156.75 crore in the same period last year, United Phosphorus said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On standalone basis, the company reported a decline in its net profit at Rs 21.84 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 against Rs 68.80 crore in the same period last year.
Total income of the company declined to Rs 572.27 crore in the latest quarter ended September 30 against Rs 652.92 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
Shares of United Phosphorus were today trading at Rs 153.70 on the BSE, down 2.41 per cent from its previous close.
