The potato yield on potato farms in the eastern regions of Ukraine has significantly declined, according to a survey of the largest potato producers of the region conducted by the "APK-Inform: Vegetables and Fruits" Agency. The main reason for significant yield losses is said to be adverse weather conditions. Due to a cold spring and severe summer drought potato yields are well below average. In this regard, the average yield of potato farms in the eastern regions of Ukraine will be 20-30% lower than last year.
