DuPont Crop Protection has received federal registration approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for two soybean pre-emergence herbicides designed to provide growers with a better tool for managing weed resistance. The new products, DuPont™ Enlite™ and Envive™ herbicides, feature two modes of action that will provide growers with longer lasting, more consistent early season control of weeds that have developed tolerance and/or resistance to glyphosate and ALS chemistries.
“The introduction of Enlite™ and Envive™ herbicides is another way DuPont Crop Protection is delivering answers to growers’ changing weed control needs,” said Jim Collins, vice president and general manager, DuPont Crop Protection. “DuPont is committed to providing innovative products that advance agriculture and help growers increase bottom-line profits.”
According to Jim, the new herbicides showcase the power that can be harnessed by proprietary homogenous blend technology from DuPont, which enables rapid development of new herbicides with multiple active ingredients for improved resistance management. Using this technology, Enlite™ and Envive™ herbicides combine flumioxazin and DuPont sulfonylurea herbicides for consistent, highly effective weed control, even under cool, wet conditions.
