Eden Research PLC has announced that its biofungicide product 3AEY (three terpenes as active ingredients) has been authorized for the treatment of botrytis in table and wine grapes from the Regulatory Affairs Directorate in Malta. Eden's commercialization partners such as Sipcam, Redestos and Sumi Agro France are now preparing for product launches following authorization.

Malta is acting as the zonal rapporteur member state for the Southern EU agricultural zone. Following this authorization Eden expects the remaining member states across the Southern Zone to grant authorization for the sale and use of 3AEY in their jurisdictions within the allocated 120 days.

"As our licensees, partners and shareholders well know, we have been pursuing the authorization to sell 3AEY in the EU Southern Zone for nearly eight years. This is not only excellent news for our licensees, but also for Eden," said Chief Executive Officer Sean Smith in a statement.
