This year, due to the impact of the global financial crisis, the international pesticides demand has declined markedly. According to China customs statistics, China pesticides export posted a 2.6% decline in volumes to 144,000 tons, and a 38.8% decline in value to $400 million in the second quarter of 2009, the average export price was $2774/ton.
