Syngenta’s first quarter sales increased seven percent in value over last year.
The worldwide ag company says crop protection sales were eight percent higher, with total seed sales up three percent in value. Syngenta says its corn and soybean sales increased by seven percent, despite delayed planting decisions in the U.S. and fewer corn acres in Europe.
The company says improvements in its corn portfolio and price increases were key factors in that growth.
