Nachurs Alpine Solutions opens Louisiana liquid fertilizer plant

Nachurs Alpine Solutions announces the opening of their St. Gabriel, La., liquid fertilizer manufacturing plant.
The opening of this plant demonstrates their strong commitment to the agricultural industry of the Southern United States.
When the new facility becomes fully functional, reduced shipping costs and improvements in turnaround time will benefit farmers in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
The St. Gabriel location will be the newest of 6 liquid fertilizer production facilities owned by Nachurs Alpine Solutions. Prior to this addition the company had 2 in Canada and 3 others in the U.S. already in production.
The site in Louisiana is a prime location on the Mississippi River. It is located on 69 acres which were initially owned and developed by Ciba-Geigy in the 1990’s. Nachurs Alpine Solutions began to retrofit the location during January of 2013. While renovating, they have made improvements to existing buildings, including the 174,000 square-foot production facility, a 40,000 square-foot warehouse, and various other supporting structures.
They will continue to make improvements to the infrastructure even as production of agricultural products begins.
Nachurs Alpine Solutions is excited to have been able to take an idle production plant and convert it to a modern manufacturing facility. The local economy will benefit from the creation of 14 new jobs on-site and an estimated 44 additional positions in related industries being created.
The entire St. Gabriel plant’s service area will have superior accessibility to the industry’s highest quality liquid N-P-K fertilizers along with product education and logistical support.
A team of professional district sales managers and in-field agronomists are located strategically throughout the south. The sales team is dedicated to educating farmers on phosphorous efficiency, nutrient management, and helping growers maximize yield potential and plant health.
