ECHA consults on CLH for herbicide flumioxazin

ECHA is seeking comments on new proposal for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for herbicide flumioxazin. The public consultation will be open for 45 days and will end on 21 October 2013.

Flumioxazin has already entry in the Annex VI to the CLP Regulation, and revisions of the current Annex VI entry (e.g. removal or addition of hazard classes) are proposed by the Czech Republic. The existing classification and labeling are repr. 1B (H360D); aquatic acute 1(H400, M factor acute = 1000) ; aquatic chronic 1(H410).The RAC has considered removal of repr. 1B H360D (may damage the unborn child) and addition of M factor chronic = 1000.

The proposed CLH for herbicide flumioxazin are aquatic acute 1( H400, M factor acute = 1000) and aquatic chronic 1(H410, M factor chronic = 1000).
