Dow AgroSciences plays an important role in Argentine soybean market. Committed to what the company announced in agricultural exhibitions at the beginning of the year, the firm launched its brand
Dow Semillas for oilseeds, offering its two first varieties: DS 1410 and DS 1505.
“They are materials characterized by their elite genetics and excellent yield and performance potential, and they are already available for this campaign”, explained Agustín Bourdieu, Soybean Product Manager at Dow AgroSciences. “DS 1410 variety is of short cycle 4 for high potential planting in nucleus and southern area,
mainly; and DS 1505, aimed to areas with slightly more restrictive environments or for the central region of the country”, added Bourdieu.
The launch is a starting point within the soybean market, because in 2015 Dow AgroSciences is launching its Enlist technology, a hard-and-resistant-weed control system that offers a wide scope of glyphosate and 2,4 D control, which also allows for post-emergency application.
