Three types of soybeans containing “Intacta RR2 Pro” transgenic technology would be registered by the National Registry of Commercial Cultivars (RNCC) and the National Registry of Protected Cultivars (RNCP), which belong to the National Service for Plant and Seed Quality and Health (Senave) in Paraguay.
The varieties are M5410IPRO, M6410IPRO and M6210IPRO, which, according to the opinion of the technical committee of cultivars, fulfilled all the requirements stated by the applicable regulations, such as distinctness, uniformity and stability. It is important to mention that the last 11 February, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock authorized the commercial release of soybean seeds containing the stacked events MON87701 x MON89788, called “BtRR2Y soybean, or Intacta soybean” in Resolution Nº 153/13.
